Expat Therapy 4U is a service provided by The International Psychology Ltd. The International Psychology Ltd respects the privacy of every individual who visits its websites. Your data will be treated in accordance with relevant European Union legal provision.

This information may include data such as your name, gender (or preferred identity), age, date of birth, relationships & progeny, occupation, address, telephone/SMS number (plus permission to send SMS & leave voicemessage), email address, counselling history, medical conditions relevant to psychological therapy, prescribed medication, difficulties, goals, GAD-7 and PHQ-9 screening questionnaires.
We use this information:
- To send you relevant information about products and services.
- To provide the service to you and for managing and quality assuring the service.
- To email you from time to time about promotions and services which we think may be of interest to you – only if you have given explicit consent to receive news from us via email.

2.3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING ANY PERSONAL DATA
To meet our contractual obligations obtained from explicit Patient Consent and legitimate interest to respond to enquiries concerning the services provided.

2.6. DISCLOSURE
The International Psychology Clinic Ltd will keep your personal information safe and secure, only staff engaged in providing your treatment will have access to your patient records, although our administration team will have access to your contact details so that they can make appointments and manage your account.
The International Psychology Clinic Ltd will not disclose your Personal Information unless compelled to, in order to meet legal obligations, regulations or valid governmental requests. The practice may also enforce its Terms and Conditions, including investigating potential violations of its Terms and Conditions to detect, prevent or mitigate fraud or security or technical issues; or to protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of its staff.
2.7. RETENTION POLICY
The International Psychology Clinic Ltd will process personal data during the duration of any treatment and will continue to store only the personal data needed for seven years after the contract has expired to meet any legal obligations. After seven years all personal data will be deleted, unless basic information needs to be retained by us to meet our future obligations to you, such as erasure details. Records concerning minors who have received treatment will be retained until the child has reached the age of 25.
2.8. DATA STORAGE
Any information that you choose to provide us with about yourself will be held on a secure computer server in the United Kingdom. The server software (SSL) encrypts all the information you supply us. This ensures, among other things, that data we hold about you is processed lawfully and fairly. The International Psychology Clinic Ltd do not store personal data outside the EEA.

If you have allowed us to use your personal information for the purposes above, we may share your personal data with:

You have the right to access personal data that The International Psychology Ltd holds on you and correct any inaccuracies. The International Psychology Ltd recognises that on rare occasions our clients may wish to exercise their rights under the General Data Protection Regulation May 2018 and make a subject access request in respect of their personal information held by The International Psychology Ltd. If at any time you wish to exercise your right under the Act you should put your request in writing to the Practice Manager, enclose a cheque for £25 and provide evidence of your identity such as a copy of your passport or driver’s licence and proof of your address. When we receive your written request, the £25 fee and evidence of identity we will respond to your request within 40 calendar days. The International Psychology Ltd’s response to a valid subject access request will normally be in the form of a schedule listing and describing the personal data we hold on them. By accessing our services, you acknowledge that you understand and agree with The International Psychology Ltd’s subject access policy for records.
2.11. OTHER INFORMATION COLLECTED DURING YOUR VISIT TO OUR SITE

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
